Food Poisoning

Food Poisoning Test





1. Improperly stored, prepared or preserved food cannot cause food poisoning.

2. Eating poisonous plants or fish can cause food poisoning.

3. Different types of food poisoning require different treatments.

4. Contaminated food always looks, smells or tastes unusual.

5. Food poisoning has been traced to food prepared on an unclean surface or cut with a dirty knife.

6. Food poisoning symptoms are abdominal cramps, diarrhea and vomiting.

7. Botulism can kill a person and symptoms are difficulty speaking or swallowing, blurred or double vision, difficulty breathing, drooping eyelids, vomiting, diarrhea or paralysis.

8. Do not taste food to see if it is edible.

9. Meats, poultry or eggs do not have to be cooked well done to prevent food poisoning.

10. Get rid of food that has gone past the expiration date on packaging.
